so yesterday i went to Bella's school for a "100th day of school" party. well, more like activities, as one boy kindly pointed out that "it ain't a party if there ain't no cake".
when i got home, i ran to catch the mailman b/c i had a letter that was too big to fit in my outgoing mail slot. he said, "what a coincidence, i have this package for you that i almost forgot to deliver. it's international, so i needed a signature, and almost forgot to bring it by".
i lost him at "package for you", i just wanted to scribble a signature super fast so i could run home and tear open this surprise.
and as soon as i saw the name, i knew it was going to be something totally fun...it was from my friend Nadine!!
Nadine is from Canada, actually from the same area as my Aunt Valerie, and she thinks that it is destiny that i move there too. we've also discussed at length, the possibility of moving to Mexico together, since we both agree that Canada is too darn cold. but they do have the most amazing perogy statue ever, so that's tempting me.
anyways, i ran home and ripped into the package and found the cuuuuutest and yummiest gift, and of course, i had to take a few pictures.
**by the way, the last time i opened a gift, somebody asked me if i had changed shirts to match the gift (blue shirt, blue cutie pie colander). i had not. and i must add that these pictures were taken minutes after I walked in the door from Annabelle's school, no changing shirts. isn't it neat how well i match?
i love it :)
first, a cute little homemade card. the picture is kinda crappy, so you can't really tell what it is, can you? well, i'll tell you. the purple hearts are CHOCOLATE!!! :-) so it's already a winner!!
but what are the chocolates resting in???
a CUTE CUTE CUTE cupcake candy dish!!!!! oh how i love cupcake decor.
i don't know if it is actually a candy dish, but that's what i'm using it for, b/c we all know how much i LOVE candy!!! oh wait, you don't know? well let me show you...
AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHH!!!!! CANDY CANDY! i like candy!! :)
*shortly after taking this photo, Ezra ran and started collecting chocolates as though i had just busted open a pinata. Nadine, Ezra thanks you greatly for sending the chocolate as well. we do ask that if you send candy again, please remove the foil first, so we can both throw it directly into our mouths as quickly as possible. that whole "unwrapping" thing is such a nuisance.
Nadine, seriously, you are a super sweet heart for thinking about us. the kids tried to eat the little plastic chocolates off of their wacky fuzzy pens that you sent them also. they thought it was less weird than eating chocolate that is covered in purple foil. :-)
anyways, isn't that fun? i'm so thankful to have such sweet friends.
and speaking of sweet friends...Nadine's package wasn't the only package I received yesterday...but we'll talk about that tomorrow...

i just love your package recieving posts!
